Students must always wear long pants and boots with a heel to lessons. I have a supply of extra helmets at the barn, but I highly recommend purchasing your own as soon as your child knows they are committed to riding. Many of my students have their own riding crops, saddle pads, and saddles. These links are just a few of the items that I notice my students wear. In my experience, the Ariat boots are little bit higher quality and hold up longer than the TuffRider boots. If your child is really young you will probably need to order an XXS Ovation helmet that is adjustable. If your child is also participating and helping out with barn work I would recommend that Ariat paddock boots combined with a pair of half chaps for riding.
